TIL a Roman-era curse tablet was found in a well in England last year

I was reading about a dig near London and they pulled this tiny rolled up piece of lead from a well. Someone had scratched a curse on it, probably around 300 AD. It was basically asking the gods to make a thief sick until they returned a stolen cloak. I just thought it was wild how people back then had the same petty problems we do, but handled it by writing angry notes to spirits.

People have always found creative ways to vent frustration, just with different tools back then.

People have always found ways to blow off steam, even if it's just yelling at a rock or carving a name into a tree. It's kind of comforting to know that frustration is such a universal human thing, you know? We've all been there, just trying to get the pressure out before it bubbles over. Good reminder that we're not alone in that urge.
