I was reading an old forestry journal and found out a mature oak can transpire over 40,000 gallons of water a year
I mean, that's a whole backyard swimming pool's worth just moving through one tree, which really puts into perspective how much they regulate local humidity and soil moisture.

That "regulate local humidity" thing seems a bit overblown for just one tree.

Actually read a study where a single mature tree can release hundreds of gallons of water daily.
