A climber in Bend told me to stop running my saw at full throttle in the cut, and it finally clicked
We were bucking some storm-dropped ponderosa and he pointed out I was burning through chains way faster than him on the same wood. He said let the chain do the work at about 3/4 throttle and keep the rakers filed right, and my cuts got cleaner and cooler overnight. Anyone else switch up their throttle habit after getting called out?
