Water barrel cracked after 2 winters, the UV lesson hit hard
Found a hairline split at the bottom of my 55 gallon barrel last week after a cold snap in Ohio. I always drained it before freeze, but forgot the sun was eating the plastic on that side for years. Anyone else use a dark tarp wrap or just replace barrels on a set schedule?

Sounds like that barrel wanted a spa day, not a sunburn. Guess the sun wins the long game every time.
