Vent: the canned food aisle at my Kroger in Dayton got picked clean again over one dumb Facebook post
Stopped by the Kroger on Smithville Rd last Tuesday around 6pm to grab my normal 12 cans of chili and the whole shelf was wiped out except for like 3 dented cans of beets. Talked to the stock guy and he said some local prepper group on Facebook posted about a "food shortage coming in 2 weeks" so everyone in a 30 mile radius panicked and bought everything. I have been slowly building my pantry for 8 months and now I am stuck eating rice and whatever is in the freezer. The worst part is these same people will donate it all to a food drive in 3 weeks when nothing happens. How do you all deal with the panic buyers jumping in and clearing shelves before you can even get your normal stuff?
