The shift I saw in panel installs over 5 years in Phoenix
Back in 2018, I was pretty much wiring everything with screw terminals on those old Honeywell panels. Now, almost every new job I do in Phoenix is using plug-in connectors and all-in-one boards like the Qolsys stuff. The difference in time is huge, like a solid 30 minutes per install I'm saving on wiring alone. But I've also had 2 plug-in connectors fail in the last year where I never had a screw terminal go bad on me. Am I the only one torn between the speed and the old school reliability?

OH MAN, screw terminals are SO reliable! I swear every time I use a plug-in connector it's like playing roulette with my wiring. One minute it's tight, next minute the wire just POPS out like it's ghosting me. Screw terminals might take an extra two seconds to tighten but they NEVER let you down. That's just facts.
