Gotta disagree here. I've seen too many wireless keypads die at the worst possible time, like right when the client is showing off the new system to their boss. That ghosting issue isn't rare, it's pretty common with anything battery powered in a commercial setting. You're swapping batteries and hoping for the best, but the customer is calling you back every six months because something stopped working. Hardwired might take a bit more time upfront, but you're not getting those angry calls down the road. It's about reliability, not just convenience for the installer. For me, that peace of mind is worth the extra cable run.

Guess it depends on the job though. I've had some keypads crap out after a year or two of heavy use and I just swap the batteries and move on. Hardwired stuff is nice but if you're doing a quick retrofit or a temp space it feels like overkill to run all that cable. Kinda feels like a "know your client" thing more than a rule.

@ruby_patel27 My buddy ran wireless on a retail build and got ghosted by the keypad after 6 months. SO frustrating.
