Finally tested those wireless door sensors vs the hardwired ones on a big commercial job

I put ten of each on a 3-story office building last week to see which held up better. The wireless ones dropped signal twice when I was testing on the third floor near the elevator shaft. Going back to running wires even if it takes longer, has anyone else had issues with interference from elevator motors?

Elevator shaft was the exact spot mine dropped too, you see any difference with the brand of sensor?

Told my buddy Rob about this same thing happening to him, he was at a job site downtown and his phone just dropped dead in the elevator shaft. He switched from some cheap off-brand sensor to a Garmin and said it made a huge difference... never lost signal in there again. Said the cheap one would just blink red and give up, but the Garmin held on long enough to get a reading before the doors closed. I know he's been using that same unit for about a year now with no problems. Makes me wonder if it's something about how they handle interference from all the metal and wiring in those shafts.
