Basement water alarm response got me a callback from the fire marshal
I installed a water sensor system in a finished basement over in Maplewood last Tuesday, and the homeowner called me at 2 AM because the cellular dialer didn't trip the central station, it went straight to the fire department. Turns out I wired it into the same zone as the smoke detector, classic rookie mistake. Has anyone else dealt with false dispatch issues on combination water and smoke setups?

That 2 AM fire department visit probably woke up the whole block in Maplewood, not just you.
