Wrote off torque stripe checks as a waste of time, then a tail rotor grip in Wichita proved me wrong
For my first 5 years on the floor I thought torque stripe was just a shop habit guys did to look busy, since I always hit everything with a wrench anyway. Then a 206 came in at a shop near Wichita with a grip bolt that had walked about a quarter turn, and the stripe crossed just enough to show it before we signed it off. How do you all handle the guys who still call it busywork?
