Why does nobody talk about hand-sketching aircraft wiring diagrams?

I think they are faster and easier to use than digital tools for complex fixes.

Totally agree, I always sketch out harnesses by hand when helping my uncle fix his Cessna.

That's a solid way to catch crossed wires before they're real. My cousin builds custom motorcycles and he does the same thing with fuel lines on a napkin. It just makes the whole mess visual, you know? Ever tried sketching something totally different, like plumbing?

Last summer, I watched a mechanic at our local air show fix a radio issue with just a pencil and a clipboard. He drew the wiring paths right there on the tarmac, talking through each connection. It made me realize how hands-on and quick sketching can be for figuring out problems. Digital tools have their place, but sometimes paper doesn't need batteries or a signal. Do you find that sketching helps you spot problems faster?
