Walked through the Delta hangar at ATL last week and noticed something odd about the tool boxes
I was down at the Delta TechOps facility in Atlanta visiting a buddy, and I swear every third mechanic had a Snap-on box with a Milwaukee impact driver sitting on top. Not a single DeWalt or Makita in sight. Is that just a regional thing or are the Milwaukee tools really that much better for our line of work? I'm still running old Ingersoll Rand stuff and wondering if I'm missing out.

Oh, I hear you on that. I was in the same boat a few years back, running old IR gear and wondering what all the fuss was about. I finally picked up a Milwaukee M12 Fuel 3/8" ratchet on a whim, and honestly, it changed my whole outlook on battery tools for work. The balance is way better than my old stuff, and the power is there when you need it without being overly bulky. Not saying Snap-on and Milwaukee is the only game in town, but for the day to day stuff I do, it has been a real solid upgrade.

Dude, SAME. I grabbed an M12 Fuel ratchet last year just to try it out and now I barely touch my air tools. The thing just WORKS and feels RIGHT in your hand. Completely changed how I look at battery stuff too.

Nah, I gotta push back on this. I tried the M12 Fuel ratchet and ended up going back to my Snap-on air ratchet after a week. It’s not that the Milwaukee is bad, but it just doesn’t have the same balls when you’re trying to break loose a rusty bolt on an old truck. dakota_nelson43 I get what you’re saying about the balance, but I’ll take the raw torque of my IR any day. Plus the battery dies right when you’re in the middle of something, and then you’re stuck waiting for it to charge. Air tools just keep going as long as the compressor is running.
