The day I stopped using a rag to clean hydraulic fluid off my hands
Had to pull a dozen quarts of skydrol out of a 767 last week at PDX. Used to just wipe my hands on a dry rag after. Then I saw this old A&P guy at Alaska's hangar grab some Gojo and scrub for a full two minutes under hot water. Said I was basically painting the fluid deeper into my skin. Been a month since I switched to a good hand cleaner and my palms don't peel anymore. Any of you guys use a specific brand that actually cuts the purple stuff?

Gojo in the tub with the scrubber built in works great for me.

Heard that... been there with the purple monster myself. Guess we're all just fancy corporate chemists now instead of grease monkeys, huh?

You ever notice how everything we used to just do with our hands now needs some kind of special product or tool? Like you can't just scrub a sink with soap and elbow grease anymore, you need the right chemical for every different surface. I swear my grandma cleaned her whole house with vinegar and newspaper and it was fine. Now we're all reading labels like we're mixing potions.
