That AOG part that came in wrong, again

Had a Cessna 172 down in Phoenix waiting on a fuel pump last Tuesday. The box arrives, part number matches the paper, but the flange bolts were a quarter inch too short. Someone swapped the hardware at the warehouse or the rebuild kit was mismatched. I grabbed the old bolts from the core and reused them with new washers, got the bird flying by noon. My lead said "just make it work," which is the story of this trade. Anyone else keep a stash of spare hardware from cores for these exact moments?

Yep, I keep a coffee can of old bolts and washers from every core that comes through. Those spare parts have saved my tail more times than I can count.
