My garage bolt sorting felt like a trip back to manual hangar days

I was organizing my home workshop, putting all my hardware into labeled bins. It reminded me of how we used to manage aircraft parts before everything went digital (you know, with paper logs and memory). We'd spend ages just finding the right bolt size without a computer to help. Now, a quick scan with a handheld tells you exactly what's in stock and where. I kinda miss the simple, hands-on way of doing things, where you knew each piece by heart. But I get that the new systems are way faster and reduce mix-ups. Funny how a basic home job can show you how the trade has shifted over the years.

Always thought digital was best, but your garage story made me see the appeal of manual.

I still use color coded paint pens on my socket set rails for quick grabs. The new digital stuff is great but muscle memory from the old ways sticks with you.

My buddy's color coded wrenches saved him during a midnight breakdown...
