Just had a perfect shift pulling a PT6 apart
I finally got to lead my first full PT6 hot section inspection at work yesterday in Nashville, and everything lined up perfectly for once. No stuck bolts, no missing tools, and I even caught a cracked baffle before it became a bigger problem. Have any of you had one of those rare days where every single step just clicks?

Hold up there, @the_fiona. Tbh a cracked baffle on a PT6 is more of a headache than a crisis. I've seen guys run those with a little JB Weld and a prayer for months. Honestly, calling it "clutch" feels like overkill. You know what's actually clutch? Not having the torque wrench slip and ruin a lockwire hole on the last bolt. That's a real shift killer. Glad you had a smooth day, but don't act like you saved the engine from the apocalypse or something.

Heard a guy at the parts counter last week saying the PT6 is basically bulletproof but you gotta respect the little things. Sounds like you got that respect in spades. Catching that cracked baffle is clutch. Those things can turn into a whole engine teardown if they let go. Nothing beats a shift where everything just falls into place. Makes you feel like you actually know what you're doing.
