Hit 10,000 landings inspected last Tuesday and it hit me weird

I was just counting up my logbook entries from the past 12 years for a side gig application and realized I'd passed 10,000 landings inspected last week without even noticing. That's a lot of tire wear, brake pads, and strut checks all adding up without me ever thinking about the number. Anyone else ever hit a milestone you didn't track for and it caught you off guard?

Damn 10,000 landings? That's insane, how are your knees still working?

Actually, I think the number is closer to 7,500 landings if you count all my years flying. The 10,000 number gets thrown around a lot but it's usually the total flight hours that people mix up.

Rose_hart I think you're right that people mix up flight hours and landings all the time. Holly_sanchez75 the knees thing is real though, I've got a bunch of guys I work with who've had knee replacements from all the squatting and bending. Actually had a buddy tell me his chiropractor could tell he worked on planes just from the way his lower back was wearing out.
