Had to pick between a Snap-on ratchet and a Harbor Freight one for daily use
I've been wrenching on 737s for about 8 years now and always used my old Snap-on FR80 for everything. Last month I dropped it down a tailcone access panel and it took 3 days to get it back. Grabbed a $12 Pittsburgh from Harbor Freight to get through the weekend and honestly I'm still using it 4 weeks later. The guts feel a bit sloppier but it hasn't slipped on me yet. Anyone else switch to cheaper tools for your box and regret it or not?

That Pittsburgh stuff is surprisingly solid for the price though.

Yeah that Pittsburgh has held up way better than people give it credit for.

Drives me through parts of Pittsburgh all the time for deliveries. The steel bridges and old mill buildings are still standing strong after all these years. You just don't see that kind of quality in newer construction anymore. People will spend a fortune on a new house but the materials are all cheap particle board and plastic.
