Found a way to free a seized bleed valve on a Cessna 172 that saved us a whole afternoon.
Sprayed it with penetrating oil, let it sit for an hour, then tapped it with a brass drift while applying gentle pressure with a line wrench, and it broke free without any damage, so what's your go-to method for stuck valves?

Heat and patience, never force.

Wait, he warped the housing with a heat gun? That's crazy. I mean, I've seen people do some dumb stuff with heat, but warping a whole fuel drain housing takes some serious lack of patience. Honestly, it sounds like that housing was probably already kinda weak or something to warp that easy, but still, yikes. My grandpa always said you gotta let things tell you how they want to come apart, not force them into it. That's a rough lesson to learn with a new unit on order.

My buddy had a similar fight with a frozen fuel drain on his old Cherokee. He went straight for the heat gun, which I told him was a bad idea. Ended up warping the housing just enough to cause a slow weep. Had to order a whole new unit. Your method with the oil and the brass punch sounds a lot smarter and less likely to make a simple job expensive.
