Am I the only one who spends weekends polishing turbine blades as a stress reliever?
It's oddly satisfying to see them shine under the hangar lights.

That balance point is no joke. A buddy of mine polished a small helicopter turbine in his home hangar and the thing developed a nasty vibration on the next run-up. They traced it right back to his weekend project messing with the blade surfaces.

Are you sure that's safe for the blades? (They need to be perfectly balanced.) It just sounds like it could mess them up.
