Warning: The $20 silicone air fryer basket insert I bought is melting
It started warping after a few uses at 400 degrees, and now it smells like burnt plastic. Has anyone found a liner that actually holds up to high heat?

Ugh, that's the worst. I had the same thing happen with a cheap liner. Isn't it crazy how they sell stuff that can't handle the heat it's made for? I just gave up on liners completely. A quick spray of oil on the basket and stuff doesn't stick that bad. The real fix is just pulling the basket out and giving it a soak right after you're done cooking.

Yeah, the "soak right after" thing is key. I learned that the hard way after making some frozen fries. Left the basket in the air fryer while I ate, and that little bit of leftover grease just baked onto the mesh. Took me like twenty minutes of scrubbing with one of those brush things to get it clean. Now I just drop it in the sink with some hot soapy water, and by the time I'm done with my plate, it wipes clean.

Honestly, I just let mine cool and wipe it out.
