TIL you can air fry frozen chicken wings without thawing first, I was convinced by a Reddit comment last Thursday

I spent 3 years defrosting chicken wings in the sink every time until someone said just throw them in frozen at 400 for 25 minutes and they came out way crispier, anyone else have a kitchen rule they stuck with too long?

Yo wait really? I was the same way, I used to think you absolutely had to thaw them first or theyd come out raw in the middle. Then my buddy threw a bag of frozen wings in the air fryer at 380 for like 30 minutes and they were legit perfect, crispy skin and all. Now I never bother with the sink defrost method anymore, saves so much time. I even do frozen fries at 400 for 15 mins straight no preheating and they come out way better than the bag says.

Huh, I'm the opposite - I always thaw first. Tried frozen wings once straight in and they came out chewy on the outside, still cold near the bone. Guess I'd rather wait an extra 10 minutes than risk that again.

Yeah the chewy outside is what I always got too, so I just go from frozen now.
