Spent $50 on a silicone air fryer liner and it was a total bust

I got one of those flexible silicone liners to keep my basket clean, but after three uses the thing just wouldnt sit flat and it blocked the air flow. Cost me about $15 and now my fries come out soggy instead of crispy. Anyone found a liner that actually works without ruining the texture?

My $20 silicone liner from a brand called Hunor was the same disaster, totally warped after a couple washes and made everything steam instead of crisp. I switched to a pack of disposable parchment paper liners that are pre-cut for my Cosori basket, they are like $8 for 100 and work way better. You just poke a few holes in the bottom with a fork and the air flows fine, plus cleanup is just tossing the paper. I still use the silicone one as a mat for kneading dough, but for air frying its useless.

Did the poked holes stop them from burning up on the heating element?
