Rant: That expensive air fryer liner pack was a waste of cash
I bought a 50-pack of silicone air fryer liners for $12 at the grocery store last month. They claim to make cleanup easy and keep food from sticking. But after three uses, they started peeling and left a weird smell that got into my food. I went back to just spraying the basket with oil and wiping it out after cooking. Has anyone else had bad luck with those liners or found a brand that actually works?

My friend Kelly bought a set of those liners off Amazon and had the same problem - her chicken nuggets tasted like burnt rubber after one use. She said the smell was so bad her husband made her throw them all out and she went back to a spritz of avocado oil. Now she just wipes the basket with a paper towel while it's still warm and says it's actually faster than messing with those liners.

Wait, those liners are supposed to make things easier, not turn your nuggets into a science experiment, right? Sounds like they're great if you're trying to add a new "burnt plastic" flavor to your menu, lol.

Huh, I gotta push back on that a bit. I've been using silicone liners in my air fryer for like six months now and honestly they're a game changer. No more scrubbing stuck on cheese or batter off the basket. I just toss them in the dishwasher and they're good to go. Maybe it's a brand thing? I got a pack from Target and they don't leave any weird taste at all. Made wings and tater tots last night with zero issues.
