My sister said reheating pizza in the air fryer is a crime against leftovers, so I put it to the test
My sister stayed over last weekend and watched me drop two cold slices of pepperoni into the air fryer basket at 370 degrees for about 3 minutes. She said it was lazy and that a skillet with a lid on the stove gives you a crispy bottom and melty top, which is what her favorite pizzeria in Yonkers does. So we made it a test. Same two slices from the same box, one skillet and one air fryer, and I timed both and tasted both blindfolded. The skillet slice had a better bottom crust, I will give her that, but the air fryer slice had cheese that actually bubbled instead of just getting warm and greasy. It took 3 minutes with zero standing over a pan and zero oil, and honestly I eat leftovers on my couch, not at a restaurant table. She still swears the skillet wins and I still think she is wrong for calling it a crime when she has never even owned an air fryer. Where do you all stand on this one, am I crazy for thinking the basket beats the pan for cold pizza?
