My neighbor in apartment 3B keeps complaining her fries are soggy because she's crowding the basket with a whole bag of potatoes.

I finally told her that leaving space for air flow is the whole point, and now she wants my crispy parmesan zucchini recipe from Tuesday.

It's just a kitchen gadget, not a life or death situation. Maybe she just likes her fries that way.

But honestly, if she wants crispy fries she should just use the oven. Air fryers are a fad and half the time they just dry everything out. A deep fryer with proper oil temperature is the only real way to get that perfect crunch. Your neighbor might be onto something with crowding the basket, it keeps the moisture in so they’re not like eating potato chips.
