How long was your power out for? We had that crazy storm too and my air fryer was a total lifesaver. It felt like a small win to still have a hot meal when everything else was so messed up. Those things use way less power than firing up the whole oven. I was just so thankful to have one simple thing work when the lights were out.

It's funny how these little wins become the whole story after a storm. My power was out for two days, and honestly, the biggest victory was just getting the coffee maker to work on the generator. It's never about the big stuff, it's the small normal things that make you feel less like you're living in a disaster movie.

Totally get that, @the_betty. My big win was using my car's 12V socket to power a tiny travel kettle for instant noodles. Felt like a genius for about five minutes until I realized I was a grown man eating ramen in a dark driveway. It's those small bits of normal life, like a hot meal or a cup of coffee, that stop the whole situation from feeling completely hopeless. You cling to whatever weird little system you can get to work.
