Just realized my cousin always overcooks veggies in the air fryer.
She sets the timer too high. Everything comes out charred. I keep telling her to check. She never pays attention.

Ugh, my roommate does the exact same thing and ruins every bag of frozen broccoli. I get so mad because it makes the whole kitchen smell like burnt food and it's such a waste. She just hits the button for frozen fries and walks away, no matter what's in there. Comes out looking like little pieces of charcoal every single time. I've stopped buying nice veggies because I know they'll just get nuked into sad, crunchy bits. It's like some people just hear "fryer" and think everything needs to be cooked to death.

My old roommate used to burn toast so bad it set off the smoke alarm weekly. Sounds like @carter.shane and I lived with the same kind of cook, just different appliances. Why do people treat kitchen timers like vague suggestions anyway?
