Hit 100 air fryer recipes on my blog and I honestly didn't think I'd make it past 20
I started posting air fryer recipes about 8 months ago just to have something to do. Last week I hit recipe number 100 and it felt weirdly huge. My first 5 recipes were all just different ways to cook chicken thighs because I was too scared to try veggies. The big surprise was that my 73rd recipe, a simple broccoli and cheddar fritter thing, got more views than all the others combined. It made me realize that people don't want fancy complicated stuff, they want quick cheap meals that actually work. Has anyone else hit a random milestone like this that caught you off guard?

That's a cool milestone, congrats on hitting 100. But I gotta disagree a little on the simple stuff always winning. I think it depends on the crowd you're feeding. My sister runs a small food page and her most complicated air fryer recipe, a stuffed portobello mushroom with like five different cheeses, went viral. People love quick meals sure, but they also love watching something that looks fancy even if they never actually make it. Your broccoli cheddar fritters sound legit though, simple done right is hard to beat. Maybe the real takeaway is that people just like getting their expectations flipped from boring to something good. Do you ever get comments from people who tried it and actually made it a regular thing?

Admit it, half the appeal of those fancy recipes is just watching someone else do all the work while I sit here eating cold pizza. That portobello thing sounds like the kind of meal I'd film for two hours and then order takeout anyway. But yeah, the comments on those fritters are usually just people saying they burned the roof of their mouth on the first bite, so that's pretty regular for me.
