Found out you can reheat pizza in an air fryer way better than a microwave
Was at my sister's place in Cleveland last week and she tossed a cold slice of pepperoni in her air fryer at 350 for 3 minutes. The crust came out crispy instead of soggy like usual. Has anyone else tried this with other leftover takeout?

Honestly, I tried that with leftover Chinese food once and my air fryer basically turned my fried rice into little crunchy pebbles. Ngl, it was a disaster but the pizza trick is legit. Just don't try it with anything saucy or you'll end up with a burnt mess like I did. Tbh, I've learned the hard way that air fryers are basically magical for anything breaded or crispy but terrible for anything with sauce. My girlfriend still brings up the time I tried to reheat leftover lo mein and it came out looking like a science experiment.

Oh come on, you guys are selling air fryers way short. I've had the exact opposite experience... my air fryer handles saucy stuff better than the microwave ever could. @patricia317's neighbor probably just had the temp cranked too high or forgot to toss the noodles halfway through. A little spritz of oil and a lower setting, and leftover lo mein comes out perfect, not crunchy at all. The real secret is not overcrowding the basket and keeping an eye on it instead of walking away. User error, not a machine problem, that's all I'm saying.

My neighbor tried to reheat pad thai in her air fryer and the noodles turned into literal little sticks. She said it sounded like she was shaking a bag of twigs when she opened the basket. Never seen someone so disappointed in a kitchen gadget before.
