Found out that air frying chicken wings saves over 40% of the calories vs deep frying
I was looking up some nutrition facts the other day for my meal prep and stumbled on a comparison table on a health site. It said air fried wings have like 150 calories per serving while deep fried ones hit 250 or more. I always assumed the difference was small, but that stat really caught me off guard. Has anyone else noticed a big change in their weight or energy since switching to air frying?

My air fryer caught on fire last week so I'm back to deep frying for now.

The calories thing is a bit tricky. Air fried wings still have oil just less of it absorbed, so the difference isn't always that huge depending on how you prep them. I'd double check the numbers on that site.

The difference isn't always that huge" is what gets me. Are you saying the oil spray or marinade makes more of a difference than the cooking method itself? I've been tossing mine in a tiny bit of oil and seasoning, and I'm wondering if that's where most of the calories are coming from rather than the air frying. Have you actually tracked the calorie difference with different prep styles?
