My buddy Mike showed me his AI workflow last week and I had to eat my words, @jennys72. I was one of those people who thought it was cheating or lazy, but watching him tweak prompts and layer in his own edits changed my mind. He spent like 3 hours on one image, not just typing "cool dragon" and calling it done. The real work was in the compositing and color grading he did after the AI spit out the base. It's honestly not that different from using a stock photo or a texture pack, just way more flexible. I still think people should be upfront about using it, but I get the appeal now.

Oh wow, @jadew63, I hear you completely. I had almost the exact same experience when a neighbor showed me how she uses AI for her greeting card designs. She spends hours in Photoshop after the initial generation, adjusting colors and fixing tiny details that the AI gets wrong. It really opened my eyes to how much human skill still goes into the final product as long as the person is honest about their process.

Was totally against AI art tools until my friend showed me her workflow yesterday" - I mean, is this REALLY that deep? People act like using AI to generate a few pictures is some kind of moral crisis. It's just a tool, same as Photoshop or any filter app. Your friend probably just spent an afternoon messing with it, not inventing the next nuclear threat or something.
