Tried an AI tool to edit my photos and it made everything look like a cartoon
Ngl, I used this new AI photo editor to fix the lighting on a shot from my trip to Austin and it turned my friend's face into a smooth blob. Learned that these tools still can't handle natural textures like hair or skin without messing it up. Has anyone found one that actually works for portraits?

Yeah but did you try fixing the lighting manually first?

Honestly, I think people overthink this. Yeah, @wyatt_green31, manual lighting can be a hassle, but is it really that serious? I've messed with a cheap LED panel before and just lived with the color being a bit off. It still worked fine for what I needed. Worst case, you tweak it in post or just move on. Not every shoot needs to be a whole production.

I tried that with a cheap LED panel once and it was a total disaster. The color temp was way off and I spent an hour wrestling with gels. Your mileage may vary, but manual lighting is a pain if you don't have the right gear.
