Tried an AI scheduling tool for my roofing crew, got a completely different work crew
I run a small roofing company in Tacoma and last month I got tired of the back and forth with my 4 guys about who's available when. So I signed up for this AI scheduling app that was supposed to optimize routes and worker schedules based on weather and job location. First week, it sent my best guy to a job 45 minutes away from his house and had him starting at 7am, but he's got kids to drop off at school. Second week, it scheduled two guys with bad knees for a steep 3-story tear-off. Learned that these tools don't know the human stuff you just have to know about your people. Anyone else find that AI tools miss the obvious human details?
