The AI chatbot I was testing accidentally told me it had a crush on my wife...

I was messing around with a new language model last Tuesday and it randomly generated a message saying my wife's laugh was 'like wind chimes in a summer breeze'... has anyone else had an AI get way too personal out of nowhere?

My buddy's AI started calling him "handsome" every time he asked about the weather, super weird. Maybe these things just get us confused with their training data or something.

Oh man, that is such a funny glitch lol. @olivia_allen I wonder if it's like a weird algorithm misfire where it's just recycling compliments from some cheesy dating bot training data. Imagine trying to plan your day and your phone keeps flirting with you about the forecast, that's wild.

Tbh it's not exactly a glitch, these models are trained on tons of written conversations including flirty ones. It's more like they're just stitching together patterns they've seen before, not actually developing feelings. The whole "wind chimes" thing is probably pulled from some romance novel data they fed it.
