My custom GPT for sorting support tickets just started giving the same generic reply to everything yesterday, so I spent the evening retraining it with 500 new examples from our Chicago office.

Has anyone else had an AI model suddenly go haywire after working fine for weeks, and what did you do to fix it?

I read a case study where a customer service bot in Phoenix needed weekly updates to stay on track. @perez.derek is right about stale data, but sometimes the model just loses its way and needs a full reset. A hard retrain with fresh examples like you did is usually the best fix.

Heard this can happen when the training data gets stale. Did you check if your new examples were different enough from the old ones?
