My AI music project confused my dog's barks for bass notes

The mix was more canine than classical.

It's like when my home assistant starts playing music because it heard a similar phrase on TV. These tools are so tuned for clean data they fall apart with normal background noise. Why do we build them for perfect conditions that don't exist in real houses? You end up with a smart home that's kinda dumb about daily life.

Try setting a noise gate on your audio input to block out the barks. I learned the hard way that AI can get REALLY confused by sudden loud sounds. You might also try recording in a separate room from your dog. Training the model with ONLY instrument samples first makes a HUGE difference. It takes some patience, but you'll fix that canine classical mix.

Definitely second morgan_bell92's noise gate tip. Real world audio always needs layered fixes, not just one tool.
