I was dead wrong about AI image generators for my Etsy shop
Kept saying AI art was just gimmicky noise. Then I needed 40 product mockups for a new candle line. Spent 3 hours on Midjourney instead of 2 days shooting photos. The textures and lighting were actually usable. Anyone else flip their opinion after a real use case popped up?

Did you at least spill a little candle wax on your keyboard for authenticity? I tried the same thing last year with my wife's soap business, swore I'd never use AI for anything. Two hours in and I had mockups that looked better than the ones I took in my garage with a bedsheet backdrop and bad overhead lighting. Now I just tell people the AI photos are "concept art" and cross my fingers nobody asks to see the real thing.

Isn't that the worst feeling though, knowing you're cutting corners but the alternative is honestly way worse? I did basically the same thing for my friend's pottery stuff and I still cringe when someone asks to see the actual pieces in person.
