I finally got why my friend's AI art looked so much better than mine

I was showing my friend in Austin some of my AI image attempts, and he asked me which model I was using. I told him I just used the default one in the free app. He said, "Oh, that's your problem. You need to try Stable Diffusion with a specific art style model. It's like using a different paintbrush." I downloaded it and tried a custom model for watercolor style, and the difference was huge. It made me realize I was just scratching the surface. Has anyone else had a game-changing moment with a specific AI model?
