Hit 1000 AI generated images in my portfolio last week and honestly it felt weird

I was just scrolling through my folder and saw the number pop up. 1000 images all made with different models over the last 2 years. Some are garbage but a few I actually used for client work. The milestone made me realize how fast this tech moved. I remember when getting a decent face out of Stable Diffusion 1.4 was like winning the lottery. Now I can bang out 50 usable shots before breakfast. What was the number that made you stop and think about how far things have come?

Funny you say that @karen_perry38, because hitting 1000 also made me realize how many of those images are just echoes of each other.

What gets me about hitting 1000 images isn't the quantity, it's how many of them are basically training data for the next version of yourself. Like, every time you generate something and tweak it, you're teaching yourself what works and what doesn't. Those 50 garbage ones from early on? They're why your 50 usable shots now look so good. I passed 500 the other day and started noticing little things, like how I stopped fighting the weird hand generation and started just cropping around it. The real milestone isn't the number of pictures, it's the number of problems you stopped having to solve.
