A barista in Seattle made me rethink AI art tools

I was telling this barista about generating product photos for my Etsy shop, and she said 'why pay for images of things that don't exist yet when you could just sketch what you want?' That hit weird because she's totally right, my last 40 listings used AI mockups but none of them actually match the real item's texture. Has anyone else had a real-world conversation that made you question a tool you were all in on?
