Walked into a McDonald's in Dallas that had ZERO human workers at the counter

I'm not kidding, I went there last Tuesday for a quick lunch and the whole front of house was just kiosks and a conveyor belt. One guy in the back handing bags to a shelf. Nobody to talk to if your order got messed up or you had a question. It got me thinking about how fast this is spreading and what happens when EVERY fast food place does this. My order was wrong too and there was literally no one to complain to. Are we just supposed to accept bad service from machines now?

Oh come on, at least the machines don't give you attitude with that wrong order.

Wait, aren't those machines programmed to basically give you a robot version of attitude, though? @joel603 is right about the Houston Whataburger thing, same issues happen everywhere. I've had a kiosk yell at me in Spanish for not picking my toppings fast enough, which was way more awkward than a cashier rolling their eyes. At least with a person you can joke about it, but with a screen you just stand there feeling dumb. Plus, half the time the machines just freeze and you end up having to flag down a real person anyway.

Right on, the "nobody to complain to" part got me. Same thing happened at a Whataburger here in Houston last month.
