Unpopular opinion: Slow AI decisions were sometimes a relief
There was a time when automated systems had to pause for human input, giving us a chance to catch mistakes. Now AI acts in milliseconds, and I worry about who's accountable when it goes wrong. Do we need built-in delays for ethical checks?

So we're making AI wait in line like at the DMV.

Hah, exactly like that, Simonp47. It's less about the wait and more about the process. You need those clear steps and checkpoints, like showing your paperwork, so the system can't just skip ahead. It forces a pause to verify everything is correct before moving on.

Honestly, the DMV line is funny, but it's not about making it slow. It's about making sure it stops when it should.
