Tried letting an AI schedule my work appointments for a week and it double-booked me three times

I was testing this new scheduling bot that promised to optimize my calendar, but on Tuesday it put a root canal and a teeth cleaning at the exact same time. Are we giving these tools too much trust too fast, or is this just growing pains we need to push through?

Did you try setting it to reject overlapping time slots?

Setting it to reject overlaps saved me from double booking last week.

Oh absolutely, I had the exact same thing happen to me. I tried one of those AI calendar tools last month and it scheduled a dentist visit and a team meeting right on top of each other. I ended up having to call everyone and apologize because the bot thought it was being clever with my time. The worst part was it kept rescheduling my lunch break to 3 PM because it calculated that was when I was "least productive" but I actually needed that time to eat. So yes, I think we are trusting these things way too fast without understanding their limitations. They work great for simple stuff like booking a haircut but anything with real consequences needs a human checking the output first. I have gone back to using a paper planner for anything important and just use the digital calendar for reminders.
