Overheard a debate about AI hiring tools that changed how I see job apps

I was at a coffee shop near my office in Des Moines and heard two people arguing over an AI resume screener. One said it rejected her application because it didn't match keywords for a job she was actually qualified for. Made me wonder how many good candidates get passed over just because a bot can't read between the lines. Has anyone else seen this happen with real applications they've submitted?

Has a bot ever actually turned you down for a job? I feel like this happens way more than anyone admits.
