I used to hide which photos were AI edited, now I tag every single one and it actually got me more clients
Six months back I would touch up wedding shots with AI and just not mention it, then a bride in Tucson found the metadata and blasted me in a local Facebook group. Now I add a tiny watermark note saying "AI assisted edit" on my site and nobody has complained once, two people even said they picked me because of it. Anyone else find that being upfront about AI use backfired less than expected?
It's the same pattern you see with food labels and where stuff is made. For years companies hid that their clothes were made overseas or that their "fresh" juice was from concentrate, then a few started putting it right on the front of the box and people trusted them more for it. My cousin runs a bakery and she started listing every single ingredient including the stuff people usually hide, and her sales went up because folks felt like she had nothing to hide. Once everyone can check things on their phone in two seconds, hiding stuff just makes you look worse than whatever you were hiding.
