Hit 500 AI art generations and only 3 looked human, that ratio scared me

I was messing with one of those free image generators last weekend to make a profile pic for a gaming server. After 500 tries, I finally got one where the hands had five fingers on the correct sides. But the other 497 were uncanny valley nightmares, and 3 legit looked like real people you'd pass on the street. That got me thinking, if a random person can't tell those 3 from actual photos, how many deepfakes are already floating around in job applications or dating apps? I'm not saying we need to ban the tech, but we need some kind of watermark system before it's too late. Has anyone else run into a fake-looking image that fooled their friends or family?

Wait, only 3 out of 500 looked real? That's insane.
