Had a talk with my brother about his new warehouse job and the 'efficiency' bots

He works at a shipping center in Reno and said the robots that move boxes are great, but they track every single second of his break time now. He said it feels less like a tool and more like a boss that never blinks, which made me think about who these systems are really built for. Does anyone else worry that automation is just giving companies a better way to watch us?

Interesting, @hugoc97. That article must have had a different take than what I've seen. From what I've read, the actual data on that topic seems pretty mixed. My own understanding is a bit different, based on a few other sources. It's one of those things where the facts aren't totally settled yet.
