Oh fantastic, another tech company probably running their "earth loving" AI on a diesel generator behind the building. I bet they just stuck some fake ivy on the server rack and called it a day. It's like bragging your car is electric while quietly charging it from a coal power plant. The gap between the marketing and the actual plug in the wall is getting a canyon wide.

Made sure to check our last supplier's actual energy mix after reading @charles48's diesel generator bit, worked out way better for us lol.

How far back does that check really go though? I mean, if the supplier says they use clean power, but their own grid source is dirty, doesn't that just push the problem upstream? It feels like the real info is buried way deeper than most companies bother to look.
