That one guy at the coffee shop who 'fixed' my AI art with a sharpie
I was at a local cafe in Austin last week, showing a friend this AI generated landscape I made for fun. Some random guy walks over, points at the sky part, and says 'this lacks human soul, watch' then draws this ugly cloud shape over my print with a blue sharpie. He handed it back all proud and said 'there, now it's real art.' I just stared at him for like 10 seconds while my friend cracked up. Has anyone else had a total stranger try to 'improve' their AI work without asking?

Told him thanks and asked if he wanted to sign it like a real artist would, he actually did and walked off feeling like a hero. My friend still has the paper framed on her wall because the whole thing is too absurd to throw away.

Man that's brutal. You handled it way better than I would have. I'd probably just stare at them with that blank "are you serious" look. The fact that your friend kept it framed is honestly the best possible outcome though. It's like a trophy of absurdity now. Pure art gallery irony.

lol wow that guy sounds insufferable. i wouldve just sat there with my jaw dropped and then maybe said "thanks i guess?" before laughing in his face honestly. sharpie on a print is some next level douchebag move though. like congrats you ruined my paper and made a cloud that looks like a potato. bet he watches one bob ross episode and thinks hes the art police now.
